Elizabeth originally started Mommy Gone Tropical back in 2015 sharing her journey as a Deaf mom bringing awareness about her community. However, she wanted to do more with her platform. When Elizabeth and Alex first got together, they share same passions, dreams, and goals. They decided to expand Mommy Gone Tropical into something different. That is when Parents Gone Hiatus come alive after several years of discussing the ideas we have for it.

Parents Gone Hiatus is a platform with ever-growing resources to help parents have some relief from searching on their own to help their children discover and solidify their Deaf identities.

Yes, we are a Deaf family-owned business! We are a team of Elizabeth & Alex and our five CODA kids. We're working on creating a community of employees, volunteers, and people from our community to provide even more resources.

ASL Pasta is made in the USA! The custom metal dies to create hand shapes were made in Italy then sent to the USA to be used to manufacture ASL hand shaped pasta. Once, the ASL pasta was made, it got shipped out to Tucson, AZ where we package individually to be shipped out to YOU!

Not at this moment, however we are working on it! We want to have both gluten-free and easily digestible options.

Yes! ASL pasta do not have any animal products in it. There are just two ingredients (100% Durum Wheat & Natural Vegetable Powders).

The processing time from the moment you order and to be shipped out is two days. Depending on which shipping option you choose at checkout, you will receive your order within 2-9 days.

It depends on where you want your order to be shipped to. If you order six bags of ASL pasta, the average shipping cost is $13. If you order just one bag, the average shipping cost is $10. So, it is better to order more!

You should have received an email with a tracking number once your package have shipped. Check there, or email PGHiatus@gmail.com with your name and address and we will track it down for you.

Definitely! Select the local pickup option during the checkout process and then I will contact you to schedule day/time to meet up. Local pickup is FREE!
